Charitable Fund
Each year the Society raises some funds, largely through direct charitable donations from members, for the purpose of supporting a deserving group in Ghana. Our policy is to work with a different organisation each year. To date, the following have benefited.

2002-03: The International Reconstructive Plastic Surgery (Ghana) Project.

2003-04: Rehabilitation of La Bawaleshi Junior Secondary School.

2004-05: Wheelchairs for the Physiotherapy Department of Korle Bu Hospital (in memory of Hellen Price).

2005-06: Ghana Society for the Socially Disadvantaged.

2006-07: HelpAge International - Ghana Branch.

2007-08: Krobo College for drums for their church services (in memory of Jessie McIvor).

2008-09: Library books for the Nurses' Training Centre, Agogo Hospital.

2009-10: Cerebral Palsy Africa.

2010-11: Roof for the village school in Wayanu, Volta Region, via Love Ghana.

2011-12: Scotland-Ghana Guides link - roofing the warden's house at the Guide Training Centre in Accra.

2012-13: HelpAge Ghana - health screening clinics in Accra.

2013-14: Refurbishment of wards at Pantang Mental Hospital, Accra.

2014-15: The Fishermen's Mission, Troon, in support of those from Ghana and other countries working on Scottish trawlers.

2015-16: Support for the HIV programme at the Sefwi Wiawso Government Hospital, Western Region.

2016-17: Equipment for rural physiotherapy clinics in Ghana.

2017-18: Contribution to the Aburi Old Girls Association 1995 Year Group's refurbishment of the school kitchens.

2018-19: Murrayfield Education and Development Trust, towards the completion of the Kindergarten in Kwamebikrom, Sefwi Debiso, Western North Region.

2019-20: Bowls, mugs, jugs, bread baskets etc for the students' dining room at Akropong School for the Blind.

2020-21: Football boots for the Mark Holmes Football Academy in Koforidua.

2021-22: Frio insulin-cooling wallets for Diabetes Youth Care, Ghana.

2022-23: Fridge and support for Envision Sickle Cell Ghana in Sokode Lokoe, Volta Region, through the West Lanarkshire Girl Guiding Ghana Project.

2023-24: To be decided.

2024-25: Project Bongo, for the provision of boreholes in Upper East Region.
